Tobacco leaf processing machinery

In June 2009 we packed and shipped a piece of tobacco leaf processing machinery. 

The heavy duty design of our packing included enveloping the entire item in a purpose-made foil moisture barrier bag, which was hermetically sealed and contained desiccant. The case measured 1411 x 335 x 374 cms and weighing 36,800 kgs gross. 

We made the case in advance, ready to receive the machinery on Day One, pack on Days Two and Three, and load out on Day Four. Then we delivered the case to Liverpool port for loading onto an ACL RoRo vessel, for shipping to Portsmouth in Virgina, USA. The transit took 13 days quay to quay.

As with all our cases, the timber complied with ISPM15 and was marked to international standards as well as contract requirements.
